General Information

  For years, Bells FFA has had one of the premier Ag/FFA programs in North Texas.  It is supported by a strongly committed student base that fosters a balanced Agriculture program.

  In the last six years the Bells FFA has had 19 STATE top ten placings in LDE (Leadership Development Events.)  In that time period the chapter has garnered 1 first, 2 seconds, 1 third, 4 fourths, 3 fifths, 2 sixths, 2 eight, 3 ninths, and 1 tenth in state leadership competitions.  Leadership contest develop speaking and leadership skills.

  Ten of the banners earned have come from the Chapter Conducting Contest, four in the Quiz Contest, two in Public Relations, two in Greenhand Skills, and one in Ag Issues.

  In livestock judging, the Bells teams have qualified for state 14 consecutive years.  In 1998, the team was seventh, in 2000 they placed 10th, in 2001 they placed 9th, and in 2004 and again in 2005 they placed 3rd out of 500-700 teams statewide each year.

  Bells FFA members have been awarded numerous FFA scholarships.  Scholarships have totaled over $70,000 in this same time period.

  Bells FFA members have also garnered $926,687.94 in premium money at shows across the state of Texas in the last 6 years with animals fed through the SAEP (Supervised Agricultural Experience Program) in Ag classes and FFA.

  At Ag Mechanics Contests in Houston and San Antonio, students have had 1st place division, 2nd place division, six 1st In Class awards, four 2nd In Class awards, six 3rd In Class, and numerous Blue Ribbon Projects.
