January Update

Wow, how time flies…hard to believe the school year is already half way over!!! Our kiddos will be walking across that stage before you know it. Now that the holidays are over, it’s time to get together and make some plans for the spring. We will be having a meeting on Monday, February 1st at 7:00 pm in the BHS commons to discuss these items.

Our most important topic right now is, of course, $$$$. We participated in some fundraising activities in the fall, such as the Tailgate Party booth and the volleyball/basketball concession stands. A BIG thank you to those who organized these events and kept them going!! We had some good ideas for ways to make money at our last meeting, but no one has volunteered to take on the organization of these fundraisers. We are in great need of people who will commit to getting these events started. Some of the ideas were as follows: selling flowers/singing Valentines on Valentine’s Day, Breakfast at Applebee’s, and a bake sale. We also have a need for people willing to contact organizations that would be willing to donate money to our seniors. Please come ready to make a commitment to getting these things accomplished for our kids.

We will also discuss general plans for the Senior Awards Banquet and the Senior Party at the end of the year. If you have ideas and suggestions, please be there!!!

A BIG thanks to Elaine Jones for designing, ordering, gathering money for and delivering our senior t-shirts!!
